Oh my goodness you have GOT to try this cake. I got the recipe at a family reunion. It is one of those cakes that looks simple, but then you taste it and it's like YUM. The frosting is fudgy and the cake is moist. It's so good.

CHERRY CHOCOLATE CAKE

1 pkg. dark chocolate cake mix

3 eggs

1 (21 oz.) can cherry fruit pie filling

Combine cake mix, eggs and cherry filling. Mix until well blended. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched. Frost when cool.

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar

5 tbsp. butter

1/3 c. milk

1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces

In a small saucepan combine sugar, butter and milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly and cook 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate pieces, until melted and smooth. Spread over cake.

If you don't make it for your get together, try it some other time. So easy, and so good.
This is good and very simple. Make a chocolate cake mix in an oblong pan. When done .. poke holes in it and spread a can of eagle brand milk on it while hot. Then spread a jar of carmel syrup{like the kind for ice cream] on top. Refrigerate and then spread cool whip on top. Very rich but very good.. Plus you can try other cake mixes and stuff too
