Does anyone have a GOOD chocolate cake recipe?

I NEED A CHOCOLATE CAKE 4 CLASSDoes anyone have a GOOD chocolate cake recipe?
HERSHEY'S ';PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE'; Chocolate Cake


Ingredients:


2 cups sugar


1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour


3/4 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa


1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder


1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda


1 teaspoon salt


2 eggs


1 cup milk


1/2 cup vegetable oil


2 teaspoons vanilla extract


1 cup boiling water


';PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE'; CHOCOLATE FROSTING(recipe follows)


Directions:


1. Heat oven to 350掳F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.





2. Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed of mixer 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour batter into prepared pans.





3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely. Frost with ';PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE'; CHOCOLATE FROSTING. 10 to 12 servings.





VARIATIONS:


ONE-PAN CAKE: Grease and flour 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Heat oven to 350掳 F. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes. Cool completely. Frost.





THREE LAYER CAKE: Grease and flour three 8-inch round baking pans. Heat oven to 350掳F. Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely. Frost.





BUNDT CAKE: Grease and flour 12-cup Bundt pan. Heat oven to 350掳F. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 50 to 55 minutes. Cool 15 minutes; remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely. Frost.Does anyone have a GOOD chocolate cake recipe?

MAYONNAISE CHOCOLATE CAKE





2 c. flour


1 c. sugar


2 tsp. baking soda


4 tbsp. cocoa


1/4 tsp. salt


1 c. water


1 c. mayonnaise


1 tbsp. vanilla





Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl. Add the water and beat 1 minute. Add the mayonnaise and beat 1 minute. Add the vanilla and beat 1 minute.





Pour into a greased and floured pan, 13 x 9 inch square for a very high cake. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and chocolate bits for a dandy frosting. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
This was my grandma's favorite chocolate cake recipe.





Grandma Edna's Devil鈥檚 Food Cake





陆 cup butter


2 cups sugar


2 eggs


1 cup sour milk


1 tsp. baking soda (heaping teaspoon) dissolved in 陆 cup boiling water


陆 cup cocoa


2 陆 cups flour


陆 tsp. salt


1 tsp. vanilla


Cream butter, slowly add sugar. Add well-beaten eggs and soda dissolved in a little hot water. Add cocoa, alternately add flour and milk. Beat well. Bake at 350掳 until a toothpick inserted comes out clean (35-45 minutes)
Go to market, purchase a Duncan Hines cake box, follow directions.
this one is top of the class and easy to make.6oz margarine - 6oz granulated sugar -5oz sr flour - 1 teaspoon baking powder - 2oz cocoa - 3 medium eggs. put into mixing bowl. now very important whisk with an electric whisker for a full 4 mins. grease and line 8inch cake tin pour in mixture and bake in oven gas mark 3 for about 45 mins check after 42 mins then adjust as necessary. when cold fill with chocolate butter icing. and cover with a nice milk chocolate melted with a knob of butter in it.job done.
Aunt Hazels choclate cake


2 cups hudson cream self rising flour


1/2 cup cocoa


1/2 cup butter


3 eggs, seperated


1 teaspoon vanilla


1 teaspoon baking soda


1 tablespoon hot water


1 cup cold water





Measure and sift your flour, then remeasure and resift your flour, than add in your cocoa


cream together butter%26amp; sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in you egg yolks %26amp; vanilla: beat well


Dissolve soda in your hot water. Add to your cake mixture, beat well


add dry ingredents alternating with the cold water. Beat well after each addition.


Beat egg whites until stiff, using clean dry beaters.


Fold into the cake mixture. Pour into a greased and floured pan(13x9x2). Bake @ 350 degrees for 30 -35 minutes or til done. Cool Completely . To test for dones insert a tooth pick in the middle of cake, if it comes out clean the cake is done.








Frosting





2 cups sugar


1/2 cup cocoa


dash salt


1 stick margarine


1/2 cup milk


put all in a sauce pan and cook over medium heat stirring continuesly until it becomes a bubbly boil . Remove from heat let set 10 minutes add 1 teaspoon vanilla 3/4 cups peanut butter. Beat well until it looses it glossy look then pit it on your cake. Let set about 15 minutes before cutting.





NOTE:


my mother never won any blue ribbons with this reciepe but she sure won the hearts of neighbors and my father.
COCA - COLA CAKE





2 c. plain flour


2 c. sugar


2 sticks butter


3 tbsp. cocoa


1 c. Coca-Cola


1/2 c. buttermilk


2 eggs, whole, beaten


1 tsp. soda


1 tsp. vanilla


1 1/2 c. mini marshmallows





Combine sugar and flour in a mixing bowl. Heat butter, coca cola and cocoa to boiling and pour over flour and sugar mixture, mixing thoroughly. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda, vanilla and marshmallows; mix well. This will be a thin batter with marshmallows floating on top. Bake in a greased and floured flat pan at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Ice while hot.





ICING FOR COCA-COLA CAKE:





1 stick butter


3 tbsp. cocoa


6 tbsp. Coca-Cola


1 box powdered sugar


1 c. pecans


1 tsp. vanilla





Combine butter, Coca-Cola and heat to boiling. Pour over sugar. After beating, add pecans and vanilla. Spread over hot cake.
