Simple yellow cake recipe?

This one always turns out for me





David's Yellow Cake





INGREDIENTS


1 cup butter


1 1/2 cups white sugar


8 egg yolks


3/4 cup milk


1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract


2 cups cake flour


2 teaspoons baking powder


1/2 teaspoon salt





DIRECTIONS


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 - 8 inch round pans. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.


In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg yolks one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the milk, mixing just until incorporated. Pour batter into prepared pans.


Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until tops spring back when lightly tapped. Cool 15 minutes before turning out onto cooling racks.Simple yellow cake recipe?
Classic Yellow Cake





12 tb Unsalted butter; softened


1 1/2 c Sugar


2 c All purpose flour


2 ts Baking powder


1/4 ts Salt


3 Eggs


1 Egg yolk


3/4 c Milk


2 ts Vanilla extract





Two 9-inch diameter by 1 1/2-inch deep layer pans or one 13 by 9 by 2-inch


pan, buttered and bottoms lined with parchment or waxed paper.





Set a rack at the middle level of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees.





In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar for about 5 minutes, until


light and fluffy. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.


Combine eggs, yolk, milk and vanilla extract. Add 1/3 of the flour mixture


to butter mixture then add half the milk mixture. Continue to alternate


beginning and ending with flour mixture. Scrape bowl and beater often. Pour


batter into prepared pan and smooth top with a metal spatula. Bake cake


about 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center emerges


clean. Cool in pan on a rack for 5 minutes, then turn out onto a rack,


remove paper and let cool completely.
EASY YELLOW CAKE





2 c. sifted plain flour


2 tsp. baking powder


3/4 tsp. salt


1 1/2 c. sugar


1/3 c. shortening


1/3 c. butter (5 1/3 tbsp.)


3/4 c. milk


1 tsp. vanilla


3 eggs





All ingredients go in the bowl together for easy mixing. This versatile cake may be served frosted or plain when accompanied by fresh fruit or a sauce. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together into mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients to flour mixture. Beat with mixer. Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until cake begins to pull away. Cool. Serve as desired. Yields 10 to 12 servings
Almond Cheesecake





Ingredients


1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs finely crumbled


1 16-ounce package cream cheese softened


2 tablespoon milk





Directions


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.





Mix crumbs and butter together. Spread out on the bottom of a nine-inch spring form pan. Bake for 10 minutes, or until golden. Remove from oven and cool.





Meantime, blend cream cheese, milk and sugar in a large boil. Add eggs and mix well. Stir in almonds and blend until creamy. Pour into crust. Bake for 45 minutes, or until cheesecake is well formed and just turning golden on the top.





Cool and remove side of spring form pan. Chill in refrigerator for several hours.





Spoon fruit topping over top of cake prior to serving. Add a dollop of whipped cream to each slice.
