Does anyone have a Jonny Cake (journey cake) recipe that uses flour instead of cormeal? I need to find one!?

I am doing my geography fair poster on the Virgin Islands and I need to fix this to take as my country's dish. thx!!!Does anyone have a Jonny Cake (journey cake) recipe that uses flour instead of cormeal? I need to find one!?
Direct from the Caribbean:

3 cups flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1-1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoon sugar

1/2 cup shortening

2/3 cup water or milk, or enough to make dough

(If frying need oil and fryer: If baking need sheet pan.)

Mix dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening, or rub in with fingers. Add water or milk slowly, just enough to make soft dough. Knead a few times until dough is smooth and hold together. Let rest for 10-20 minutes. Shape into rounds; flatten in your hand or flatten on the counter, prick with fork. Ensure that your oil is hot if frying and place in fryer. Fry at medium-high heat over stove, turning several times, until brown and crusty on both sides. it should take 15-20 minutes.

If baking bake at 350 degrees until done.Does anyone have a Jonny Cake (journey cake) recipe that uses flour instead of cormeal? I need to find one!?
This one seems to be from the Bahamas, but from what little I know about Caribbean cuisine it's pretty close to the usual for Caribbean jonnycakes. (Alternately, you could take the same dough (which looks rather like an American biscuit dough IMHO) and throw it in a frying pan.)

If it's wheat flour, it's not a Johnny cake.
