This chocolate cake is THE BEST ever!!! It comes out perfect every time %26amp; is always so-o-o moist!





It is Hershey's Deep Dark Chocolate cake.





Ingredients:


2 cups sugar


1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour


3/4 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa or HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Cocoa


1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder


1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda


1 teaspoon salt


2 eggs


1 cup milk


1/2 cup vegetable oil


2 teaspoons vanilla extract


1 cup boiling water


ONE-BOWL BUTTERCREAM FROSTING(recipe follows)





Directions:


1. Heat oven to 350掳F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round pans or one 13x9x2-inch baking pan.





2. Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed of electric mixer 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour batter into prepared pans.





3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes for round pans, 35 to 40 minutes for rectangular pan or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely. (Cake may be left in rectangular pan, if desired.) Frost with ONE-BOWL BUTTERCREAM FROSTING. 8 to 10 servings.








ONE-BOWL BUTTERCREAM FROSTING


6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened


2-2/3 cups powdered sugar


1/2 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa or HERSHEY'S Dutch Processed Cocoa


1/3 cup milk


1 teaspoon vanilla extract





Beat butter in medium bowl. Add powdered sugar and cocoa alternately with milk, beating to spreading consistency (additional milk may be needed). Stir in vanilla. About 2 cups frosting.





HIGH ALTITUDE DIRECTIONS (Cake):


-- Decrease sugar to 1-3/4 cups


-- Increase flour to 1-3/4 cups plus 2 tablespoons


-- Decrease baking powder to 1-1/4 teaspoons


-- Decrease baking soda to 1-1/4 teaspoons


-- Increase milk to 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons


-- Bake at 375掳F, 30 to 35 minutes for both pan sizesI need a good easy chocolate cake recipe please help?

3/4 c. of unsweetened cocoa powder


1 c. of hot coffee


1 c. of milk


2 large eggs


1 tsp. of vanilla


1 tsp. of salt


1 tsp. of baking powder


2 tsp. of baking soda


2 c. of sugar


1 c. of vegetable oil


Frosting


1 c. of milk


1/2 c. of shortening


1 c. of sugar


1 tsp. of vanilla


5 tbsp. of all-purpose flour


1/2 c. of butter, softened





Directions


First you need to prehead oven 325 degrees.


Now take a large bowl and add dry ingredients mixing.


Then pour in the oil, coffee, and the milk and blend with a blender for approx. 2 min.


Now you can add in the eggs and vanilla, beat 2 more min.


Then you can pour cake mixture into buttered pan.


This needs to cook approx. 30-45 min.


Let the cakes cool on the oven racks before taking out.


During the time cake is cooling, prepare frosting.


Take a pan and add milk and flour, letting thicken(stir).


This will need to be covered, and refrigerated.


Now take a bowl and add shortening, sugar, and vanilla and beat with blender until creamy.


Now you can add in the cold milk mixture.


This needs to be beated with blender approx. 10 min.


Now you can frost cake.
Double Chocolate Cake





1 (3-1/4 oz.) box instant chocolate pudding /pie filling


1 (6 oz.) bag semisweet chocolate chips


1 3/4 cup milk


1 box yellow Duncan Hines cake mix


1/2 cup nuts


2 eggs





Preheat oven to 350F. In a large bowl, mix the first 4 ingredients together. Beat for 2 minutes. Add the chocolate chips and nuts. Mix well. Pour into 2 greased and floured cake pans (or


1 tube pan.) Bake for 55-60 minutes. Cake is done when toothpick or knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cake cool. Frost with chocolate fudge frosting.





Chocolate Fudge Frosting





1/2 cup butter


3 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate


1 pound confectioners' sugar


1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract


3/4 cup milk





Melt chocolate and butter in the microwave, or in the top of a double boiler. In a large bowl, combine confectioners' sugar, vanilla and 1/2 cup of the milk. Blend in the melted chocolate mixture. Add remaining milk, a little at a time, until desired consistency is achieved. Let stand until frosting. (The frosting will thicken as it cools). When frosting is at the consistency you desire, frost the cake and let sit a few minutes for the frosting to set.
