If a cake recipe calls for 3 whole eggs OR 4 egg whites....?

is it ok if i only use 2 eggs? if not, is there anything i can maybe substitute the 3rd egg with? (NOT egg-beaters, though)If a cake recipe calls for 3 whole eggs OR 4 egg whites....?
No, it's not ok to just use the 2 eggs. Here are alternatives to eggs:

2 tbsp corn starch = 1 egg

2 tbsp arrowroot flour = 1 egg

2 tbsp potato starch = 1 egg

1 heaping tbsp soy powder + 2 tbsp water = 1 egg

1 tbsp soy milk powder + 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water = 1 egg.

1 banana = 1 egg in cakes.

3 tablespoons mayonnaise = 1 egg in baking.

No, the mayo does not make it taste different, you cannot tell you have mayo in the cake. It makes it really moist, actually! If a cake recipe calls for 3 whole eggs OR 4 egg whites....?
No dont worry i have been in the same situation and nothing happend.Good luck!
What Kind of cake are you making?
You would not tell the difference using Mayo as mayo is only eggs %26amp; oil blended and since there's already eggs and oil in the cake... well you know, it's fine.

My aunt used to make this KILLER chocolate cake that was a chocolate mayonnaise cake. I HATE mayo with a passion but this cake was just awesome. So moist and chocolately Mmmmm

Mayo would be your best bet to keep the moist texture.
